In the second China Rainbow Media Awards media training, participants were assisted by the trainers to design a campaign surrounding the legal change allowing lesbians to donate blood. Their campaign gained rapid momentum among lesbian communities. On 1 July, lesbians in Shenyang, Guangzhou, Beijing, Wuhan and Zhengzhou, took part in the "Proud to Give Lesbian Blood" Campaign.
